Get a Pardon

As Express Pardons explains, in order to get a pardon in Canada you must meet the eligibility requirements set out by the Canadian government.  To be eligible for a pardon you must prove that you have satisfied your sentence, paid all your fines and demonstrated that you have remained of good conduct for a certain period of time – this is known as the eligibility period. According to the Criminal Records Act, the length of time for which you must prove you have remained crime free and of good conduct depends on the nature of the offenses for which you have been convicted.
